Terms & refund policy

These terms cover the website services New Main Street Designs ("we", "us") provides to businesses ("you"). By paying the setup fee or starting a monthly plan, you agree to them.
1. Free mockup
We design a sample homepage at no cost and with no obligation. If you don't move forward, we won't publish the mockup or use your business's name, photos or reviews anywhere.
2. Setup fee
The one-time setup fee (currently $500) covers designing and building your site, connecting your domain and setting up your Google Business Profile. It's due when you approve the mockup and ask us to start the full build. Timelines, like "about two weeks", are estimates and depend on getting your content from you.
3. Monthly plans
- Care (currently $25/month) and Growth (currently $50/month) are billed monthly to the card you give us, starting the month your site goes live.
- Plans renew automatically every month until you cancel.
- We'll tell you by email at least 30 days before any price change.
4. Cancelling
Email hello@newmainstreetdesigns.com anytime to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing month you're in, and you won't be charged again. When you cancel, we'll hand over a copy of your site files on request, and help point your domain wherever you want.
5. Refunds
- Setup fee: fully refundable if you cancel before we start the full build. Once the build has started, it's non-refundable, because the work is custom.
- Monthly plans: we don't refund partial months, but you keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Pro Media Shoot: fully refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before the shoot. After the shoot, it's non-refundable.
- If we make a mistake, tell us. We'll fix it, and if we can't, we'll make it right.
6. Your content
You're responsible for the content you give us, like text, logos, photos, prices and reviews. You confirm you own it or have permission to use it, and that it's accurate. We may decline content that's false, misleading, illegal or that infringes someone else's rights. We only show real customer reviews, with your approval.
7. Who owns what
You own your business name, logo, content and domain. Once your setup fee is paid, you own the design of your site. Photos and videos from a Pro Media Shoot are yours to use for your business. We may keep using our own general code and tools for other clients, and, only with your permission, show your site as an example of our work.
8. Changes by email
On the Growth plan, you can email us content changes anytime. Most are live within two business days. Bigger projects, like a new page or a redesign, may be quoted separately. On the Care plan, we keep your site online, secure and working.
9. No guarantees on search results
We set your site up so Google can find it, but no one can guarantee rankings, traffic or sales. Google and other platforms control their own results.
10. Limits
We work hard to keep your site online, but we can't promise it will never go down, since it relies on outside services like hosting and domain providers. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
11. Ending service
We may pause or end service if a payment fails and isn't fixed within 14 days, or if a site is used for anything illegal or harmful. We'll email you first whenever we can.
12. Michigan law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
